È il padre di Tori Spelling , il cui vero nome è Victoria Davey (Donna Martin a Beverly Hills 90210 ) e Randy Spelling (Sean Richards a Sunset Beach ). La sua prima moglie è stata l'attrice Carolyn Jones . La sua seconda moglie si chiama Candy.

carriera

Attratto dal giornalismo, Aaron Spelling è entrato a far parte della Southern Methodist University. Farà anche una breve visita alla Sorbona di Parigi. Ma il giovane ha una passione: il teatro. Dopo aver scritto diverse commedie, è andato a Hollywood per tentare la fortuna come attore. Ottiene poi alcuni ruoli in film per la televisione. Nel 1959, ha prodotto la sua serie, Johnny Ringo . La creazione di serie alla moda diventa quindi un rito. È di origine tedesca ashkenazita .

Gli anni '70 lo stabiliranno come un produttore eccezionale. Starsky e Hutch , The Fantastic Island , Funny Ladies e The Fun Cruise sono tutti successi negli Stati Uniti e in Europa. Dynasty , diretta concorrente della trasmissione Dallas trasmessa dal 1981, riunisce quaranta milioni di telespettatori incantati da questa ricca famiglia con un tragico destino.
