Prezzo Costa
Il Costa Awards ( Costa Book Award in inglese ), istituito nel 1971, è uno dei più prestigiosi premi letterari in Inghilterra . Fino al 2006 si chiamava price Whitbread ( Whitbread Book Award ). Viene assegnato ogni anno in cinque categorie:
Il “Libro dell'anno” viene quindi scelto tra una delle cinque opere vincitrici. Questa categoria è stata creata nel 1985.
I destinatari famosi includono Salman Rushdie , Kazuo Ishiguro , Ted Hughes , Seamus Heaney , Mark Haddon , Philip Pullman , Gail Honeyman , Matthew Kneale , Tash Aw o Hanif Kureishi .
