Helen Shaver è un'attrice, regista e produttrice canadese nata il24 febbraio 1951a St. Thomas ( Canada ).
Biografia
Ha cinque sorelle, è cresciuta a St. Thomas , Ontario , una piccola città vicino a Londra . Da bambina soffriva di febbre cronica e tra i cinque ei dodici anni trascorreva sei mesi all'anno a letto o in ospedale. Ha studiato alla Banff School of Fine Arts e ha studiato teatro all'Università di Victoria nella British Columbia .
Recita in film canadesi come Outrageous! nel 1977 e Starship Invasions (1977). Ha vinto il Canadian Film Award come migliore giovane attrice nel 1978.
Nel 1980 si è trasferita a Los Angeles ed è apparsa nella serie della NBC . Nel 1990, ha interpretato l'assassino in un episodio di Columbo , Stagione 9 , Episodio 4: The Burial of Madame Columbo . Suona nella serie Poltergeist , la dottoressa Rachel Corrigan, una psichiatra.
