Alexander è un comune degli Stati Uniti situato nella contea di Rush , nel Kansas .

Alexander è stata fondata nel 1869 quando una stazione commerciale ha aperto da Alexander Harvey sulla strada tra Fort Hays e Fort Dodge . L' Harvey's Ranch è un ufficio postale nel 1874, con Harvey come direttore delle poste. L'ufficio prende il nome di Harvey come cognome. Quando arrivarono le ferrovie Atchison, Topeka e Santa Fe , la città si trasferì nella sua posizione attuale sulla sponda meridionale di Walnut Creek.
