Up from the Ground è un festival tedesco dedicato al metal estremo , che si tiene ogni anno a Gemünden am Main , nella storica regione della Franconia , in Baviera .
Nel 2000, due fan tedeschi del metal estremo, Jörg Breitenbach e Heiko Krumpholz, entrambi membri del gruppo Final Breath, hanno creato il festival " Up From The Ground Open-Air-Festival ".
Ci sono stati diversi piccoli concerti organizzati nella regione sotto il nome di "su da terra" ma si è deciso di creare un festival completo sotto questo nome per attirare più persone. Invitando headliner sempre più prestigiosi, il festival è diventato il più grande evento metal estremo in Franconia .
