La fine dell'innocenza è il3 °  album in studio della cantantedi roccia americano Don Henley, batteristaEagles, liberato27 giugno 1989.

Questo album è il più importante successo commerciale della carriera solista di Don Henley, soprattutto negli Stati Uniti dove ha venduto 6.000.000 di copie. La title track , scritta in collaborazione con Bruce Hornsby e che è stata la prima ad essere singola , si è distinta anche nelle classifiche statunitensi con il primo posto nella classifica Mainstream Rock Songs e l'8 nella Billboard Hot 100 . Seguiranno altri quattro estratti ( The Last Worthless Evening , The Heart of the Matter , How Bad Do You Want It? E New York Minute ), tutti classificati nella Billboard Hot 100.
