Elenco dei classici dell'animazione Disney

Sotto il nome "Disney Animation Classics" ( "  Canone ufficiale Walt Disney Animated Classics " ) sono raggruppati solo film d'animazione con o senza riprese dal vivo prodotti da Walt Disney Animation Studios , precedentemente Walt Disney Feature Animation (WDFA), da Biancaneve e il Seven Dwarfs (1937) a Raya and the Last Dragon (2021).

Definizione

Non esiste una definizione precisa di cosa sia un film d'animazione Disney classico, ma Dave Smith stabilisce nella sua Disney dalla A alla Z: The Official Encyclopedia un elenco di 36 principali lungometraggi Disney definiti come film d'animazione classici prodotti tra il 1937 e il 1998. Da questo list è possibile dedurre alcune regole.

I film esclusi da questo elenco hanno le seguenti caratteristiche:

• film live action con sequenze animate ( The Recalcitrant Dragon , Victory in the Air , Southern Melody , Danny the Little Black Sheep , Mary Poppins , The Apprentice Witch , Peter e Elliott the Dragon e Who Wants Roger Rabbit skin ) ad eccezione di Fantasia , Saludos Amigos , The Three Caballeros , Spring Rascal , Mélodie Cocktail e Dinosaur che sono nella lista dei "Disney Animation Classics";
• film d'animazione realizzati da sussidiarie come DisneyToon Studios ( Paperone, il film: Il tesoro della lampada perduta ,  ecc. ) e Walt Disney Television Animation ( Il ritorno di Jafar , Il magico mondo della bella e la bestia ,  ecc. );
• coproduzioni con Pixar , CORE Digital Pictures , Vanguard , ecc. ( Alla ricerca di Nemo , The Wild , Rebelle , ecc.).

Questa classificazione è indipendente dai nomi "Grands Classiques / Classiques" ( "Disney Masterpieces" ) presenti in Europa nelle edizioni VHS e DVD. A tal proposito consultare il banner sinottico in fondo alla pagina e le singole schede dei film.
